I’ve been absent from the internet for a while and working on a whole new series, contrasting these lightweight forms with some heavy concrete ones, more to come…
I have been making these to frame the pattern prints. It’s solid walnut with two screws that can be backed out to adjust the float of the paper. Some tiny white earth magnets hold the print in place.
A brand new piece. Oak frame with silkscreened rice paper strips woven and stretched across its sides. Lit from the inside to reveal the overlapping images. 7x7” of course. 8/8
A couple new concrete pieces: One is cast with the pattern and then is painted with a lil’ high gloss One Shot. The other has two magnetic mounting points with adjustable float so that the print can sit flush or up to an inch away.
I installed my latest body of work at The Garage in Charloettesville this past weekend, check out some shots of the show here.
I will be showing some similar pieces in the show Hunter Gatherer, opening at Booklyn this Saturday, July 9th!
37 Greenpoint Ave, 4th floor
I moved into the new shop last month and I’m getting into gear to make some new pieces out of wood and concrete. More in-progress shots to come…
I just dropped off a handful of pieces at Secret Project Robot for “Black Light Lounge”. The opening is this Saturday (the 21st) from 6-10…see you there?
